Ion Paraschivoiu, Ph.D., ing.

Founder and President of IOPARA Inc.

The founder, Dr. Ion Paraschivoiu, has over 40 years of experience in conducting research, teaching and in providing services for major companies and research centers worldwide on problems related to wind turbine aerodynamics, performance prediction and optimal design, aircraft icing and anti-icing. Professor at École Polytechnique de Montréal, Dr. Paraschivoiu has won many industry and academic awards for his research and publications.

  Marius Paraschivoiu , Ph.D, ing.   Professor at Concordia University Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Expert     Dr. Marius Paraschivoiu, earned his Ph.D. from  MIT  in the U.S.A. and is a leader in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He holds a research chair in Production and Storage of Clean Energy and was the Director of Concordia Institute of Aerospace Design and Innovation (CIADI) from 2008 to 2011. He also was the President of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering from 2008 to 2010.

Marius Paraschivoiu, Ph.D, ing.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Expert

 

Dr. Marius Paraschivoiu, earned his Ph.D. from MIT in the U.S.A. and is a leader in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He holds a research chair in Production and Storage of Clean Energy and was the Director of Concordia Institute of Aerospace Design and Innovation (CIADI) from 2008 to 2011. He also was the President of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering from 2008 to 2010.

  Valeriu Dulgheru , Ph.D, Dr.Sc.,ing.  Professor at Technical University of Moldova Wind Energy Expert  Dr.Sc. Valeriu Dulgheru, earned his Ph.D. from Polytechnic Institute from Vladimir, Russia (1987), and Dr.Sc. – from the Technical University of Moldova (1995). He is expert in Aeolian and hydraulic conversion system’s elaboration. Dr.Sc. Dulgheru is Honorary Member of Romanian Academy of Sciences and Technics, D.H.C. of the Technical University ”Gh. Asachi” from Iassy, Romania.

Dr.Sc. Valeriu Dulgheru, earned his Ph.D. from Polytechnic Institute from Vladimir, Russia
(1987), and Dr.Sc. – from the Technical University of Moldova (1995). He is expert in Aeolian
and hydraulic conversion system’s elaboration.
Dr.Sc. Dulgheru is Honorary Member of Romanian
Academy of Sciences and Technics, D.H.C. of the Technical University ”Gh. Asachi” from
Iassy, Romania.

  Liliana Surugiu,  Ph. D   Social and Environmental Impact Assessment Expert,      From 1997 to 1999 she worked as Post-doctoral fellowship at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in the field of renewable energy. In 1999, she has been hired as Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal and has been involved in several project regarding the social and environmental aspects of wind energy. From 2009 Dr. Surugiu got a permanent position in the context of IOPARA Inc. Consulting Co.

Liliana Surugiu, Ph. D

Social and Environmental Impact Assessment Expert, 
 

From 1997 to 1999 she worked as Post-doctoral fellowship at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in the field of renewable energy. In 1999, she has been hired as Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal and has been involved in several project regarding the social and environmental aspects of wind energy. From 2009 Dr. Surugiu got a permanent position in the context of IOPARA Inc. Consulting Co.

 
       Shahrokh Shams ,   Ph.D.   Aeronautics & Wind Energy Expert   Dr. Shahrokh Shams, earned his BSc, masters and Ph.D. (1995-2008) in aerospace engineering from  Amirkabir University of Technology (Polytechnic Tehran)  in Tehran, Iran and he is a research assistant at  Polytechnic of Montreal  and  Concordia University in Montreal, Canada  for Designing VAWT and HAWT blades/ Systems and Wind Tunnel Aeroelasticity Experiments. He is Professor at the  University of Tehran  and one of the chief consultants for IOPARA in Aeroelastic analysis, VAWT and design.

 

Shahrokh Shams, Ph.D.

Aeronautics & Wind Energy Expert

Dr. Shahrokh Shams, earned his BSc, masters and Ph.D. (1995-2008) in aerospace engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Polytechnic Tehran) in Tehran, Iran and he is a research assistant at Polytechnic of Montreal and Concordia University in Montreal, Canada for Designing VAWT and HAWT blades/ Systems and Wind Tunnel Aeroelasticity Experiments. He is Professor at the University of Tehran and one of the chief consultants for IOPARA in Aeroelastic analysis, VAWT and design.

 Ali Ghaemi, M Eng.  IOPARA Representative  Ali is a teaching assistant at École polytechnique de Montréal and has joined IOPARA as a Sales Representative.  He sources potential international distributors interested in the sales and distribution of our products. He also chairs negotiation meetings with different distributors and the presentation of the benefits of our products.

  David Marten    Wind Energy Expert     David Marten studied mechanical engineering and physics, with a focus on aerodynamics in Dresden and Berlin.   Wei Liu , Ph.D.   Wind Resource Assessment Expert     Dr. Wei Liu, earned her master and Ph.D. in wind engineering from  Tottori University  in Japan. She worked for the  Chinese Wind Energy Association  and is involved in wind resources assessment, development of offshore wind farm and certification on wind energy products. She has published over 20 journal and conference proceeding papers.

  Farooq Saeed ,   Ph.D.   Professor at the University of Dammam Aeronautics, CFD & Wind Energy Expert    Dr. Farooq Saeed graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering. Dr. Farooq’s interests include Aviation Science, Aerospace Engineering, Wind Energy Engineering, and Engineering Education. He is certified ABET PEV. Science, Aerospace Engineering, Wind Energy Engineering, and Engineering Education. He is certified ABET PEV. He is active in research with 100+ publications including 7 patents and has collaborated with NASA, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, MIT, NSERC, KACST and several other local and
international organizations.
