Dr. Ion Paraschivoiu, has over 40 years of experience in conducting research, teaching and in providing services for major companies and research centers worldwide on problems related to wind turbine aerodynamics, performance prediction and optimal design, aircraft icing and anti-icing. Professor at Polytechnique Montréal, Dr. Paraschivoiu has won many industry and academic awards for his research and publications:

Liliana Surugiu, Ph. D.

Social and Environmental Impact Assessment Expert

From 1997 to 1999 she worked as post-doctoral fellowship at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in the field of renewable energy. In 1999, she has been hired as Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal and has been involved in several project regarding the social and environmental aspects of wind energy. From 2009 Dr. Surugiu got a permanent position in the context of IOPARA Inc. Consulting Co.

Marius Paraschivoiu, Ph.D, ing.

Professor at Concordia University
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Expert

Dr. Marius Paraschivoiu, earned his Ph.D. from MIT in the U.S.A. and is a leader in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He holds a research chair in Production and Storage of Clean Energy and was the Director of Concordia Institute of Aerospace Design and Innovation (CIADI) from 2008 to 2011. He also was the President of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering from 2008 to 2010.

Gloria Paraschivoiu, IE University Student

Digital Innovation Specialist

Gloria Paraschivoiu is a Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence undergraduate at IE University, actively engaged in AI-driven projects and competitions. She contributed to the development of MODA, an AI-powered fashion application designed to streamline wardrobes and generate outfits based on user inputs, as part of the Tech Venture Bootcamp at IE School of Science and Technology.  Additionally, she was part of the team that won the OpenAI competition at IE University with their project FiscoChat.  Her academic background includes graduating from Lower Canada College’s Pre-University Program.

David Marten

Wind Energy Expert

David Marten studied mechanical engineering and physics, with a focus on aerodynamics in Dresden and Berlin. In 2010 he initiated the open source wind turbine design and simulation software project QBlade. Over the years he constantly expanded QBlade's functionality and applied the software in numerous national and international projects and QBlade quickly became a "standard" software for wind turbine aerodynamics that is applied in research, education and industry worldwide.

Wei Liu, Ph.D.

Wind Resource Assessment Expert

Dr. Wei Liu, earned her master and Ph.D. in wind engineering from Tottori University in Japan. She worked for the Chinese Wind Energy Association and is involved in wind resources assessment, development of offshore wind farm and certification on wind energy products. She has published over 20 journal and conference proceeding papers.

Farooq Saeed, Ph.D.

Dr. Farooq Saeed graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering. Dr. Farooq’s interests include Aviation
Science, Aerospace Engineering, Wind Energy Engineering, and Engineering Education. He is certified ABET PEV. He is active in research with 100+ publications including 7 patents and has collaborated with NASA, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, MIT, NSERC, KACST and several other local and
international organizations.
